Peggy Sue Johnson, age 77, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. She was born July 4, 1942, in Livingston, Texas, to parents Tom Lee and Clara Bell Stephens Lee who preceded her in death along with her husband of 50 years, Tommy Johnson; and sister, Shirley Rowell.
Peggy was a 1960 graduate of Tarkington High School. She and her husband owned and operated Shepherd Feed and Seed for many years, and after that she served as secretary for Johnson, Inc. Peggy loved to hunt. She was a mother to many, and will be greatly missed by all her had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Burns; sons, David Johnson and wife Cissy, and Tom Johnson; brother, Curtis Lee; grandchildren, Jason Bonds, Kevin Bonds, Lane Johnson and Falon Gunter; great-grandchildren, Kynlee Bonds, Bailey Bonds, Hadley Bonds, Blayke Bonds, Bree Bonds, Jace Johnson, Journey Johnson, Channing Johnson, Kelton Gunter, Bryson Gunter, and Kambryn Gunter; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
