Phillip Wayne Viets, was born on Tuesday, January 5, 1937 in Palacios, Texas and passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at his home in Shepherd, Texas at the age of 83. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Meral August Viets, and mother, Alma Louise (Farthing) Viets. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years June Viets; son, Carl Wayne Viets and wife Heather; brother, Michael M Viets; granchildren, Mitzie Prince & husband Darrell, Christopher Viets, Jimmy Viets and wife Esther, Kelly, Chris, Waylon, Angela & Katelyn; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends. A burial for Phillip will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at Forest Park Cemetery East at 2:00 pm.
