T.U.F.F. Kids, a Cleveland, Texas based youth organization is hosting a fundraiser titled “Latin Dancing At La Costa” on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m., at La Costa Seafood & Bar, 1002 S Washington Avenue in Cleveland.
“Salsa At Cotton Creek Winery” host and Cleveland native Gordon S. Williams will teach lessons in Salsa and Bachata and then play the best in Latin music including Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Cumbia. Admission for the event is $10 and is for ages 18 and up. Williams would like patrons to know there is no need to bring a partner and if you are learning for the first time or a seasoned professional, you will have a great time.
“This is a party with a purpose. T.U.F.F. Kids is a great organization that provides a chance for youth in our community to be exposed to educational and enrichment opportunities. In the past, I have had a chance to teach the kids Salsa and Merengue and it was an amazing experience,” Williams said.

Williams has been a host/instructor of Latin Dance events in Southeast Texas for over 15 years including “Salsa At Cotton Creek Winery” in Beaumont. He has performed in several charity dance events and at the Lamar University Spring Dance Concert. Williams served as an instructor at the American College Dance Association – South Central Conference in March 2018. Gordon served as a judge for the Whistle Stop’s Mad Hot Ballroom Gala in Southwest Louisiana and has taught Latin Dance lessons to junior high, high school, and college students in Southeast Texas.
