Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, District 2 Criminal Investigation Division, executed an arrest warrant for Dr. Kozhaya Sokhon at the Adva Cardio Clinic in The Woodlands, Texas, on Feb. 2.
“The investigation and subsequent arrest are the results of a lengthy investigation that revealed similar complaints about inappropriate sexual contact by Dr. Sokhon toward multiple patients,” according to a media release from MCSO.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has worked diligently in conjunction with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office to bring this investigation to a successful arrest conclusion.
Kozhaya Sokhon is in the Montgomery County Jail charged with Indecent Assault by Health Care Provider.
Detectives are asking for any former patients of Dr. Sokhon who may have experienced similar sexual contact while under his care to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 option 3 and refer to case #23A298916.

Dr. Sokhon has been our cardiologist since 2015 and has always been professional and of high moral character. His deep care for his patients is always evident in his close proximity to a patient. He shakes your hand, reassures you by touching your shoulder. He has even held my husband’s hand when he was in a grave health condition. To maintain patient privacy, he has a very quiet demeanor and speaks softly in his office and in the exam room. This often requires him to be quite close to you. As a female, I have found that all exams have been done with strict deference to modesty. It is illogical and is impossible to believe the allegations made against him.
