Chapman seeking office of Liberty County tax assessor-collector

Linda L. Chapman is a candidate for Liberty County Tax Assessor-Collector in the March 5 Republican primary. Chapman is a 44-year resident of Liberty County, 40 of those spend in the Tarkington community.

Chapman has 38 years of business management experience, including being the owner of Chapman’s Auto Inspections. Simultaneously, she has acquired 16 years, collectively, as an employee of Liberty County.

She previously worked in the tax office and is currently the coordinator of the Civil Division of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.

“My knowledge is very diversified in County Procedure and Governmental Laws. The effects of my working experiences have excelled me to be accustomed to state laws that apply to guidelines, policy, procedure, and compliance,” Chapman said, adding that she is committed to be compassionate to the lives of other people. “I have a stronghold mentality to accomplish the transaction diversities and leadership that is required for this office with diligence. I will serve you, the citizens and business entities of Liberty County with courtesy. I will serve all areas of Liberty County with superior service.”

Shouldering the burden of her campaign without fundraisers, Chapman says she has signed a statement to limit her campaign expenditures.

“I prefer to ask you for your vote rather than your money to put my candidacy on signs throughout our county. If you would like to promote my candidacy awareness, your participation in verbal and social media support is appreciated,” Chapman said.

She urges voters to exercise their right to vote on March 5 and encourages them to pick her as the next Liberty County Tax Assessor-Collector.
