Arnette Deloris Daugherty

Arnette Deloris Daugherty was born August 4, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to parents, Arnett Dove Hopkins and Laura Ebon Winters. She went to her Heavenly Home on March 21, 2024, in Coldspring, Texas, at the age of 82. 

Arnette loved to travel the world. She was involved with numerous women’s organizations, active in her church community and she loved to entertain. She was a member of the Paul Horton United Methodist Church for 20 years. The most important thing in life was her family and friends. She loved the holidays and spending as much time as she could with them. Arnette will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. 

Arnette was preceded in death by her parents, Arnett  Hopkins and Laura Hopkins, husband, Clarence “Bud” Daugherty; infant daughter, Laura Kathleen Nowak; sister, Charlyn Hopkins Hicks. She is survived by her beloved children, David Nowak and Judy Nowak; and beloved step-children, David Daugherty and Stacy Daugherty Bayer.  

Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring, Texas, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 6pm-8pm. Arnette’s funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11am at the Paul Horton United Methodist Church with Rev. Mariann Wallace Rayne officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, James Alan Moore, Jeff Currie, Carl Siegfried, Matthew Hopkins, David Nowak.
