City of Cleveland holds annual Bunny Blast, more Easter events coming to area this weekend

Kids scramble for candy-filled Easter eggs on Saturday, March 23, at the Old City Park in Cleveland.

The much-anticipated Fourteenth Annual Bunny Blast event, which took place on Saturday, March 23, in Cleveland, proved to be a success once again. Organized by the City of Cleveland and the Cleveland Unity Committee, this beloved Easter egg hunt is just one of several events hosted through this partnership annually.

Excitement filled the air as children discovered the coveted golden eggs among roughly 5,000 eggs scattered throughout Old City Park in Cleveland. Each golden egg fetched a prize basket that was generously donated by McWilliams and Son AC and Heating. Cleveland Fire Department and Cleveland Police Department contributed manpower to the event.

One of the highlights of the event is the arrival of the Easter bunny, who was escorted to the event in style, aboard a fire truck. Children ran up to hug the bunny and to give him high fives before posing with photos taken by their parents.
