Dayton Historical Society selling mugs to fund historical preservation

ABC’s Sunday Today with Willie Geist host, Willie Geist, inspired the Dayton Old School Museum to photograph its own “mugshot,” featuring mugs being sold by the museum.

These mugs hold a special significance within the Dayton community as they are being sold to generate funds for historic preservation.

These distinctive mugs in the accompanying photograph are held by Larry and Caroline Wadzeck, charter members of the Dayton Historical Society. The couple received the mugs following their presentations on historical programs.

There are two ways to obtain a mug: present a historical program to the Dayton Historical Society or directly purchase one from the museum for $10. The museum is located at 1008 W. Houston Street, Dayton, and is open for visitors on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Admission is free.

If you would like to present a program, contact Russell Payne at russell.payne@thevindicator.com or Caroline Wadzeck at cwadzeck@hotmail.com.

The museum promises to unveil more captivating “mugshots” in the upcoming weeks.
