Harrell Loyd Jones

Harrell Loyd Jones, 78, of Batson, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Liberty, Texas on December 28, 1945, to the late H.L. Jones and Lula Jean Majors.

Harrell was a loving father, husband, and PawPaw. He loved welding and working in his yard. He had a sense of humor and from time to time he was a jokester to his friends and family. He was a faithful Deacon of First Baptist Church in Batson, until he moved to Plum Grove, Texas, and a Mason in the Mason Lodge #974. Harrell will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by father, H.L. Jones; mother, Lula Jean Fregia; stepfather, Allen Fregia; wife, Ethel Jones of 44 years; and brother, Allen Wayne Fregia.

He is survived by his wife, Lela Kay Jones of Batson, Texas; daughters, Alicia Jones of Batson, Texas; Kimberly Shipp and Timothy of Batson, Texas; Amanda Khademi and husband Mason of Houston, Texas; and Jaclyn Quimby and husband Justin of Baytown, Texas; step-son, Kevin Brandt and wife Kimberly of Big Thicket, Texas; step-daughter, Abby Lott and husband Joey of Spring, Texas; sisters, Margaret Watts and husband Raymond of Batson, Texas and Faye Rice of Batson, Texas; grandchildren, Blake Jones Shipp, Haley Gamez, Abbileigh Shipp, Meghan Shipp, Chase Patton, Sam Quimby, Emma Quimby, Christa Lott, Dustin Lott, Robynn Brandt, Racheal Brandt, Bethany Brandt, Seth Brandt and fiancé Mandy, Aidan Jones, Sobhan Khademi, and Safia Khademi; great-grandkids, Madeline, Ricky and Brady; sister-in-love Terri Fregia; and his dog Copper.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Josh Roth, John Leslie Hancock, Tim Shipp, Jimmy Stewart, Justin Quimby, and Joe Patton. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Burks and Randall Hashaw.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Batson, Texas. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Aaron Leger. Interment to follow at Guedry Cemetery, Batson, Texas.
