Bill Griffin announces candidacy for Liberty City Council

Bill Griffin has officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming May 4 election, vying for a seat on the Liberty City Council. Griffin brings with him a deep-rooted commitment to the betterment of his community.

Born and raised in Liberty, after graduating from Liberty High School in 1989, Griffin went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University.

Returning to his hometown in 1993, he embarked on a distinguished career as an officer in the Liberty Police Department, achieving recognition through numerous awards and promotions.

Griffin’s commitment to public service extended beyond law enforcement, as evidenced by his over two-decade tenure as a volunteer with the Liberty Volunteer Fire Department. Additionally, he briefly served as a part-time EMT with the Liberty Fire Department.

In 1998, Griffin married Cindy, and together they have raised their children within the close-knit community of Liberty.

“I am honored to seek a position on the Liberty City Council in the upcoming May election,” Griffin said, highlighting his unwavering dedication to the welfare of Liberty. With key priorities revolving around economic development, infrastructure enhancement, and bolstering public safety, Griffin has pledged his support for Liberty’s mission and objectives.
