A Dodge 3500 Dually pickup truck stolen out of Montgomery County was recovered from the Trinity River near the SH 105 bridge in Moss Hill early Wednesday morning, April 17.
According to Capt. David Meyers, a spokesperson with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was spotted by a Liberty County sheriff’s investigator as she crossed over the bridge on her way to work.
Initially there was concern that someone might be in the vehicle; however, once the vehicle was recovered from the river, investigators determined that it had been stolen out of Montgomery County.
The seats, front grill and tail gate had been removed from the vehicle before it was ditched in the river.
