William Joseph Mize

William Joseph Mize, 53, of Cleveland, Texas, entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was born on April 5, 1971, in Houston, Texas, to Rev. Carl Vernon Slaughter Sr. and Mary Louise Mize Slaughter.

William loved life, his mother, and his children. He was known for having a big heart. William was a faithful servant who loved to help everyone. He never locked his door and always welcomed his friends. He loved his dogs and trucks. William is preceded in death by his father.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Mary Louis Slaughter; beloved children, Duston Dixon and wife Vanessa, Breianna Ireland and husband Austin, Kayley Mize and husband Preston Cowart, Auston Mize and wife Madison Crozier, Cherie Duncan, Abbey Mize, and Avery Mize; brother, Carl Vernon Slaughter Jr.; sister, Pheby Kinder and husband Ivy; grandchildren, Allisyn, Ava, Ahna, Koda, Grant, Bellamy, Kynley, Beau, Audrey, Rhyatt, Khaos, and Karma; and a host of loving family and treasured friends.

All services are being handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.
