In the early hours of Tuesday, May 21, a routine traffic stop at the Fuel Max situated at the intersection of Valley Ranch Pkwy. and Azalea Blvd. in Porter, Texas, took a sudden and dangerous turn.
A Montgomery County Pct. 4 deputy had pulled over a vehicle and soon discovered that the passenger, identified as Jeremy Hebert, 19, from Palestine, Texas, had an outstanding Class C warrant in Montgomery County. This escalated further as it was revealed that he was also wanted in Louisiana for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, with full extradition.
The situation reportedly quickly spiraled as Jeremy Hebert, upon being asked to exit the vehicle, fired a shot at the deputy before fleeing on foot into the nearby Valley Ranch Subdivision. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded, swiftly establishing a perimeter to contain the unfolding crisis. The search intensified with the involvement of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office drone pilots, and the deployment of their drone “Eagle 4.”

The drone’s efforts proved pivotal as it successfully located Hebert hiding in a backyard on American Yellowwood Place. This discovery averted a potentially deadly confrontation and allowed law enforcement to approach the situation with caution.
The standoff came to a conclusion when two Precinct 4 Deputies, surrounding the backyard from adjacent properties, discharged their weapons to neutralize the threat posed by the suspect, who reportedly had raised his weapon toward them.
Life-saving measures were administered, and Hebert was transported to a local hospital, where he is presently in stable condition. He faces a slew of charges, including three second-degree felony charges of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer with a Deadly Weapon, misdemeanor Evading on Foot, and misdemeanor Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, with bonds totaling $227,000.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Sarah Frame, 28, from Conroe, Texas, also is facing serious charges, including state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, third-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two misdemeanor possession charges, with a total bond of $4,500.
The incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers. Pct. 4 Constable Rowdy Hayden extended his gratitude to all responding agencies for their timely assistance. He specifically commended the heroic actions of the drone pilot, whose swift thinking and precise operation of “Eagle 4” were instrumental in averting further danger to the deputies involved.
