Clinton Ray Arnold, “Popeye,” 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born on December 4, 1956, in Liberty, Texas, to the late Marvin Arnold Jr. and Reba Mae Rhoden, Clinton was a true character, known for his unique personality and loving nature. He had a knack for getting on everyone’s nerves in the most endearing way, and he had a passion for fishing.
Clinton was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, always ready to help those in need. Despite his generosity, he was also known for holding grudges, a testament to his complex and spirited personality.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Edward Arnold; his aunt, Yvonne Dickerson; and his paternal grandparents, Marvin Sr. and Margaret Arnold.
Clinton is survived by his son, Troy Arnold, and wife Michelle of Batson, Texas; his daughters, Deanna Arnold and Sarina Bell of Batson, Texas; his brothers, Curtise Wallace and wife Phim, Ryan Wallace and Rodger Arnold, all of Hull, Texas; his sisters, Kandy Wallace of Hull, Texas, and Marla Gaye Arnold of Chester, Texas; and his beloved grandchildren, Raelee and Braiden Arnold of Batson, Texas, Tristan Bell and Alexis Whittlesey of Batson, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Allison Funeral Service Chapel, located at 1101 N. Travis St., Liberty, Texas 77575. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM to celebrate Clinton’s life and legacy.
Clinton will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his love for his family, and the indelible mark he left on everyone who knew him.
