La-Trece Moser

La-Trece Moser, 80, of Shepherd, Texas, went home to be with the lord on June 24, 2024. La-Trece was born to proud parents Jim Raines and Ruby Viola Paul Raines on March 19, 1944.

La-Trece loved the Lord and was an active member of her church community, the Shepherd United Pentecostal Church. She selflessly devoted her time to help with events like Vacation Bible School. She also adored her Boston Terrier, Lil’ Bit, spoiling her rotten. Above all else, La-Trece loved her family, and spent as much time as she could with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

La-Trece is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ruby Raines; brothers, James Raines and Horace Raines. 

She is survived by a large and loving family, including her daughters, La-Vida Branch and husband Lance, Viola Peace and husband John, Ruby Burgess and husband Neil; son, Danny Dunn and wife Barbara; sisters, Anna Crabtree, Mary Sitton, Rosie Hawkins; grandchildren, La-Tisha Dunn, La-Krisha Stuckey, Joshua Mendenhall, Brian Mendenhall, Erik Mendenhall, Krista Huy, April Holt, Tara Matthews, Robert “Bo” Holt, Jimmy Holt, Brandon Peace, Kimberly Gardner, Elisha Whitmire, Skylar Rossi, Janae Lyons, Desiree Lahman, and Morgan Dunn; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation for La-Trece will be held at the United Pentecostal Church in Shepherd, Texas, on Friday, June 28, from 4pm-5pm for family and 5-8 pm for the public. The funeral service will begin at 10 am on Saturday, June 29, at the United Pentecostal Church in Shepherd, Texas, with Pastor Gregary Gerald officiating. The burial is to follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Peace, Robert “Bo” Holt, Joshua Mendenhall, Brian Mendenhall, Erik Mendenhall, and Jimmy Holt, and honorary pallbearer Morgan Dunn.
