Maria Trevino Garcia

Maria Trevino Garcia, 60, passed away peacefully at her home in Liberty, Texas, surrounded by her loving family, on July 10, 2024. Born on July 29, 1964, in Jimenez, Mexico, to Maria De Jesus Reyes and the late Edmundo Trevino, Maria lived a life filled with love, joy, and compassion.

Maria had a zest for life that was evident in her many passions. She loved crafting, traveling, and visiting casinos, where she was often lucky. Reading and watching movies were among her favorite pastimes, and she delighted in being a foodie and a shopaholic. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she was known for her extraordinary gift-wrapping skills, sometimes making it a delightful challenge to open her presents.

Maria’s heart was as big as her spirit. She was a loving, humble soul who never met a stranger. Her family was her world, and she was often worrisome when it came to their well-being. A mentor to her children, Maria was a strong woman with a keen judge of character who always saw the good in everyone. Her intelligence and dedication led her to graduate from Texas A&M Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Maria was the cornerstone of her family and possessed a deep spirituality.

Maria is preceded in death by her father, Edmundo Trevino; her brother, Edmundo Trevino, Jr.; and her nephew, Mario Trevino. She is survived by her devoted mother, Maria De Jesus Reyes; her loving husband, Eliseo Felix Garcia, Jr.; and her cherished children, Eliseo Felix Garcia, III and girlfriend Caroline Ramos of Austin, Texas, Michael Lee Garcia of Liberty, Texas, Israel Garcia of Houston, Texas, Natasha Noeli Garcia Galloway and husband Josh of Beaumont, Texas, Alex Leyba of Kingsville, Texas, and Xiomara Reyes of Houston, Texas. Maria is also survived by her siblings, Maye Perales and husband Jose of San Angelo, Texas, Celi Compton and husband Kelly of San Antonio, Texas, Julia Trevino of Del Rio, Texas, Albert Trevino of San Antonio, Texas, and George Trevino of Del Rio, Texas; as well as her adored grandchildren, Athena Mia Garcia, Sebastian Garcia, Lily Galloway, Cristian Rosado, and Vanessa Rosado.

The family invites friends and relatives to join them for a visitation on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 1 PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Street, Liberty, Texas, officiated by Chaplain Keith Olivier.

Maria’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
