Terry Dewayne Elam, Sr., was born July 8, 1962, in Houston, Texas, to parents, Jerald Basil Elam and Lucille Reynolds Elam. He passed away in Cleveland, Texas on July 31, 2024, at the age of 62.
Terry received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Forensic Science, and worked for the Willis Police Department before working for a private investigation business for 7 years. Terry loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Lucille Elam; mother and father-in-law, Nell and Morris Johnson; brother, Billy Elam; sister, Shirley Williams.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Pam Elam; sons, Terry Elam Jr. and wife Tiffany, and Shannon Elam; brothers, Jimmy Elam, Bobby Elam, and James Elam; sisters, Maxine Friend, Barbara Watson, and Wanda Moye; grandchildren, Bradley Elam, Blake Elam, and Hailey Nicole Elam; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, from 5-7pm. Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, in the Pace-Stancil Chapel at 9am with Bro. Glen Mead officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be, Kenneth McLin, Billy Johnson, Tony Moye, James Elam Sr, James Elam II, and Jason Johnson.
