Betty Lou Bell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 5, 2024, at the age of 85. Betty was born on Jan. 12, 1939, in Cleveland, Texas, to parents Lewis and Ima Sloane.
Betty was a life-long resident of Cleveland, whose caring nature led her to serve others in the community. For many years, she devoted herself to volunteering at Calvary Baptist Church, the Meals on Wheels program, or local hospitals. She will be deeply missed and loved by all that had the privilege of knowing her.
Betty was preceded in death by Garlen Yeager Sr. and Horace Bell; parents, Lewis and Ima Sloane; siblings, Edgar Sloane, Melvin Sloane, David Sloan, Jeanette Sloan.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Garlen Yeager Jr. and husband Ron Martinez, Jeffery Yeager and wife Teri Yeager; sister, Patsy Sloane Tullos; grandchildren, Amanda Marie Yeager Kirby and husband Stephen Kirby, Jeffrey Garrett Yeager and wife Cassie, Megan Elizabeth Brabandt; great-grandchildren, Daniel Levi Yeager; Cameron Anthony Brabandt; as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.
A visitation for Betty will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, from 4-7 pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas. Betty’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 1pm at Calvary Baptist Church, in Cleveland, Texas, with Brother Carl Williamson officiating. The burial will immediately follow at Montague Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas. Serving as pallbearers for Betty’s service will be Troy Tullos, Todd Tullos, Brady Tullos, Wesley Tullos, Garrett Yeager, Stephen Kirby.
