Celestino Hernandez Garcia, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Oct. 21, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories. Born on May 19, 1952, Celestino lived a full life often marked by his dedication to his career and the deep connections he fostered with friends and family.

A skilled truck driver and mechanic, Celestino owned a tire shop and resale store, where he put his heart into serving the community. His practical approach to life was reflected not only in his work, but also in the relationships he cultivated. Celestino was known for his vivacious spirit and love of sharing stories, particularly during his engaging Facebook Live sessions, where he passionately told tales of his time on the road.

Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He cherished every conversation, whether it was a warm chat on the phone or just spending quality time with his loved ones. He maintained a deep appreciation for music, which often filled his home and resonated in his soul, reminding all who knew him of the profound love he had for life.

Celestino’s vibrant presence will be missed by his devoted wife, Martha Castro, and his adoring children: Rosalva Hernandez and her husband Carlos Garay, Jorge Hernandez and his wife Ernestina Segundo, and Patricia Hernandez and her husband Patricio Gonzalez. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of family: his brothers, Domingo Hernandez and his wife Alma Leticia, Martin Hernandez, and Ramon Hernandez and his wife Martina; his sisters, Matilde Hernandez and her husband Antonio Recalado, Amada Hernandez, and Teresa Vaquera and her husband Juan Vaquera; as well as numerous grandchildren, including Carlos and his wife Emily, Leslie, Itzel, Ashley, Nelitza, Jorge, Sebastion, Elvin, Fabian, Samari, Angel, Natalie, Patricia, David, and Celeste. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Emma and Aaron. Their lives are forever enriched by the lessons he taught and the laughter he created.

Celestino was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jorge Hernandez and Petra Garcia, and his beloved son, Jose Alfredo Hernandez. Their spirits are now reunited, held in the warmth of a bond that transcends time. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Celestino’s life at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, TX. Visitation will take place on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Celestino to join them in honoring his memory and the indelible mark he left on their lives.


Celestino Hernández García, un amado esposo, padre, hermano, abuelo y bisabuelo, falleció el 21 de octubre de 2024, dejando un legado de amor, trabajo duro y recuerdos preciados. Nacido el 19 de mayo de 1952, Celestino vivió una vida plena a menudo marcada por su dedicación a su carrera y las profundas conexiones que fomentó con amigos y familiares.

Hábil conductor de camiones y mecánico, Celestino era propietario de una tienda de neumáticos y una tienda de reventa, donde puso su corazón en servir a la comunidad. También le sobreviven sus bisnietos, Emma y Aaron. Sus vidas se enriquecen para siempre con las lecciones que impartió y las risas que provocó.

A Celestino le precedieron en la muerte sus amados padres, Jorge Hernández y Petra García, y su querido hijo, José Alfredo Hernández. Sus espíritus ahora se reúnen, sostenidos en el calor de un vínculo que trasciende el tiempo.

Amigos y familiares están invitados a celebrar la vida de Celestino en Neal Funeral Home en Cleveland, TX. El velorio tendrá lugar el domingo 27 de octubre de 2024, de 18:00 a 20:00 horas, seguido de un servicio funerario el lunes 28 de octubre de 2024 a las 11:00 horas. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio Earthman Resthaven. La familia da la bienvenida a todos los que conocieron y amaron a Celestino para que se unan a ellos para honrar su memoria y la huella indeleble que dejó en sus vidas.
