The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is excited to announce the grand opening of its new Liberty County Clinic on Monday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The clinic, located at 502 Palmer St. in Liberty, will host an open house where residents can meet the clinic staff and learn about the various health services available to the community. Light refreshments will be provided to all visitors.
The Liberty Clinic is a welcome addition to the community, marking a return of DSHS services to Liberty after a previous clinic in the area closed some years ago. Residents now have the option to choose the most convenient location for their needs, with an existing DSHS clinic also available in Cleveland (300 Campbell St.). The new Liberty clinic is located in a freshly renovated space in the county annex on Palmer Street.
The clinic will provide essential health services, including immunizations for eligible groups and tuberculosis case management. The immunization program serves children 18 and younger who meet specific eligibility criteria, including those on Medicaid, uninsured, underinsured, American Indian, or Alaska Native. The clinic also offers vaccinations for uninsured adults aged 19 and older.
Eligibility for immunization services includes underinsured children, whose insurance may only partially cover vaccines or not cover them at all. Immunizations are provided by appointment, ensuring convenient access to these vital health services.
For more details about services and eligibility, residents can visit the DSHS website at dshs.texas.gov/regional-local-health-operations/texas-public-health-region-6-5-south.
The Texas Department of State Health Services invites the Liberty County community to explore the new clinic and learn more about how DSHS can support the health and well-being of local residents and their families.
