Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce hosting First Responders Appreciation Luncheon, Rock N Ride events this week

The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a busy week with two big events that bring together local businesses and community members, and one that brings together outdoor enthusiasts.

The Monthly Networking Luncheon will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7, offering a valuable opportunity for chamber members to connect and promote their businesses while also honoring Liberty County’s first responders. This month’s luncheon will feature Liberty County Ranger Joshua Benson as the guest speaker, along with a delicious meal prepared by West Smith of Pace Stancil Funeral Home and other generous donors.

The Chamber is extending free admission to all first responders, with an RSVP required. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and door prizes to maximize networking opportunities and increase exposure. This luncheon provides a special occasion to thank those who serve and protect the community daily. The event will take place at noon, and RSVPs must be submitted by noon on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, the Chamber will host the “Rock ‘N’ Ride Cleveland,” a cycling event through the scenic Sam Houston National Forest. Cyclists can choose between 26- and 52-mile routes, with registration available for solo riders, tandems, and teams.

After the ride, participants can enjoy tacos, beer, and live music from the Americana string band Tomfoolery, which features Chamber Board Incoming Chairman Brian Garcia.

Online registration is now closed but in-person registration begins at 6 a.m. on the day of the event. The ride kicks off at 7 a.m., promising a morning of scenic views, good food, and great company in celebration of the Cleveland area’s beautiful outdoor landscape.
