Ricky Lynn Styron

Ricky Lynn Styron, born on Feb. 13, 1955, in Lake Providence, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2024, in Dayton, surrounded by his loving family. Ricky lived a life deeply rooted in his community, spending most of it in the area, where he became a cherished member of the local fabric.

 Ricky was known for his passion for outdoor activities. He found joy in hunting and fishing, often seen embracing nature’s tranquility. Whether he was out on a fishing trip or mowing the grass at home, his appreciation for the outdoors was evident. Ricky also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Mya, who was a loyal companion throughout his life.

 Ricky’s legacy lives on through his children: Jesse Styron, John Styron, and Jaclyn Styron, as well as his treasured grandchildren: Raegan Styron, Hailee Styron, Dylan Styron, Landon Styron, and Connor Styron. Ricky is also survived by his brothers Rhonnie Styron, along with his wife Joy, and Roderick Styron, and his sister Robin Brownlee, accompanied by her husband Russell. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were fortunate to know him.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollice Berlon Styron and Johnnie Virginia Hopkins Styron; his wife, Sherlyn Ann Livergood Styron; and his brothers, Roger Dale Styron and Ronford Styron. Their memories will forever be held close by all who loved Ricky.

 Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Nov. 7, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, located at 1304 N Cleveland St, Dayton, Texas, 77535. A graveside service will follow at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton at 2:00 PM.

 Ricky Lynn Styron will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his love of life, his dedication to his family, and his loving spirit.
