Houston Methodist Baytown named Brett Brosseau as its new chief operating officer, effective Sept. 8, 2024. Brosseau brings extensive health care experience and a proven track record of innovation and collaboration to the hospital, which serves patients in Baytown and east Harris, Liberty, and Chambers counties.
Brosseau has spent over 16 years with Houston Methodist, holding multiple positions in areas such as surgery, cardiac catheterization lab and endovascular lab services including serving as director of Houston Methodist Hospital’s orthopedic and neurological service lines.
Since 2015, Brosseau held the position of system director of employer health solutions, building relationships with employer partners across the eight Houston Methodist hospitals. Additionally, he oversaw Houston Methodist’s athletic training program that supports schools in Southeast Texas with licensed athletic trainers.

Brosseau holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas Tech University and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Brosseau is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking and visiting national parks.
