Law enforcement arrests illegal immigrant fleeing charge of child sex abuse cases in Montgomery County

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Louisiana, has arrested 49-year-old Jose Luis Briseno, who is charged with the sexual assault of multiple children under the age of 13.

Briseno, who allegedly stole several thousand dollars from his family’s business to evade prosecution, has a documented history with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is confirmed to be in the United States illegally.

He was apprehended in Louisiana and will be extradited to Texas, where he will be held at the Montgomery County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Children’s Safe Harbor, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting victims of child abuse, also played a critical role in the investigation.

  1. No wonder you have so many repeat offenders in liberty county. 250.000 dollar bond is a slap in the face for all the lawmen in this case. The Judge that set the bail amount should be held accountable.
