Dayton High School’s Theater Department is gearing up to delight audiences this weekend with their production of Into the Woods.
Performances are set for Friday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., at the Dayton High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at the door before each show.
This enchanting musical, written by Stephen Sondheim, brings together beloved fairy tale characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk.
Audiences will follow their journeys through a thought-provoking story that goes beyond “happily ever after” to explore the challenges and consequences of wishes granted.
The production features a talented cast of 20 Dayton High School students, with six additional students taking on crucial behind-the-scenes roles. The theater program has a tradition of staging musicals, with past performances including Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Frozen. Now, they are bringing Into the Woods to life for the Dayton community.
