Calvin Lettrell Bailey was born in Diboll, Texas, on March 27, 1959, to parents, John Bailey and Elaine Cockrell Bailey. He passed away in Coldspring, Texas, on Dec. 20, 2024, at the age of 65 years.
Calvin loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a precision millwright and has lived in Coldspring, Texas for 16 years. Calvin loved working on vehicles and could fix anything. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elaine Bailey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Gwen Bailey; children, Kevin Bailey, Benjamin Bailey, John Bailey and wife Bonita, Keith Bailey and wife Crystal, Rhonda Scogin and husband Mitchell, Buddy Bailey and wife Crissy, Samantha Vestal Bryant, Sherry Lacy and husband Greg, Scott Vestal and wife Kathrine, and Steven Vestal; brother, Jonathan Wayne Bailey; sisters, Teresa Bailey, Regina Carter and husband Joe, and Patricia Alexander; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring, Texas, on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, from 12 to 2 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joshua Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Mitchell Scogin, Buddy Bailey, Jay Scogin, Morgan Scogin, Mitchell Scogin Jr, and James Snook. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Kevin Bailey Jr and Kaleb Bailey.
