Stanley Richard Blackerby

Stanley Richard Blackerby, 77, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away peacefully at his residence on Dec. 28, 2024. He was born on March 7, 1947, in Blythe, California, to Herbert and Lucy Blackerby.

Stanley married the love of his life, Martha G. Todd Blackerby, on Sept. 3, 1966. They shared 58 years of love, devotion, and cherished memories. Together, they built a family and a legacy that will live on through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Stanley proudly served in the United States Navy from Sept. 30, 1966, to Sept. 29, 1968. After his honorable discharge, he continued his dedicated work as a Satellite Communication Technician, a career he loved and devoted himself to until his retirement.

A loving husband, father, brother, and “pawpaw,” Stanley was the heart of his family. He is survived by his wife, Martha, his daughters Connie Crenshaw and her husband Steven, and Shanan Blackerby; his sister, Susan Blackerby; grandchildren Dustin Crenshaw and his wife Sarah, NiCole Calderon and her husband Paul, Samantha Montalvo and her husband Martin, Harlee Campbell and her husband Zach, and Colton Byars and his wife Halie. He also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren: Micheal, Mason, Stephanie, Nathan, Allison, Cadence, Analiz, Chico, JC, SeLaina, Scott, Grayce, Gage, Rhett, Ryder, and Anastasia.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lucy Blackerby, and his brother, Alan Blackerby.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A devoted man of faith, love, and service, Stanley’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known him.

The family will receive visitors from 2 – 3 pm on Sunday, Jan. 5, in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas. Stanley’s memorial service will immediately follow at 3 pm on Sunday, Jan. 5, in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas.
