Thomas Eugene “Gene” Holman Sr. was born July 4, 1945, in Clarendon, Texas, to parents, Thomas Lee Holman and Maxine Melton Holman. He passed away Jan. 1, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas, at the age of 79 years.
Gene has lived in Shepherd, Texas for the past 25 years and was a retired truck driver. He loved being outdoors and fishing at the lake. Gene lived a simple life and loved his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lee and Maxine Holman; wife, Betty Holman; son, Thomas Holman Jr; brother, Michael Holman; sister, Debbie Cagle.
Gene is survived by his beloved children, Tracy Holman, Tami Chappell and husband Scott; sister, Janet Grizzle and husband Thomas Ray; grandchildren, Justin Jones, Taylor Jones, Ashton Axtens, and Andrue Holman; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jones, Teagan Axtens, and Elena Axtens.
