Robert Timmons “Tim” Cook, 74, of Liberty, Texas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at his residence.
Tim was born Dec. 30, 1950, in Waco, Texas, to Byron F. Cook, Jr. and his wife, Mary Cunningham Cook. He spent his childhood in Rockdale, Texas, and has resided in Liberty for the past 23 years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin. Tim was an intellectual property attorney and a retired Navy Commander with 20 years of service.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Mary Cook, and one brother, Byron F. Cook, III. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Mizell Cook, and two daughters: Laura Clements and husband Jon, and Jessica Parker and husband Derek, as well as seven grandchildren: Juliet Clements, Nate Clements, Brody Parker, Eli Parker, Cohen Parker, Ruby Parker, and Aiden Parker. Also surviving is his brother Morris Cook and wife Julie of Howe, Texas, and sister Rebecca Cook Kirkpatrick and her husband Bruce of Norman, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.
