Miguel Ángel De La Garza Luna, A man who loved God, was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he left with the Lord on Jan. 4, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on Sept. 29, 1971, in Monterrey, NL Mexico, Miguel brought many souls to the feet of Christ. Throughout his life, he exemplified strength in Christ, love and an unwavering commitment to his love for God and family.

Miguel was a retired welder who made the transition to the world of entrepreneurship, showing his versatility and dedication, a great prayer warrior. He was not only admired for his skills, but also for his dedicated spirit. His heart, however, was always rooted in his faith; he was a faithful servant of the Lord and appreciated every opportunity to preach the word of God. He found comfort by sharing the word of God, and his passion for Jesus. He was a great inspiration, he opened the doors of his house to the needy and gave food and drink to those who did not have.

His family was of utmost importance to Miguel. He shared 30 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Juana De La Garza, who was not only his companion, but also the love of his life and his best friend. Together they raised their daughters: Jennifer Moreno and next to her walks her husband José Moreno, his daughters Melinda De La Garza and Pricila De La Garza. Miguel’s pride in his family had no limits, and he eagerly awaited the arrival of his grandchild, whose birth will carry his legacy forever. Also survived his beloved sisters, Teresa García and her husband Alberto, Adalia Sánchez and her husband Gabriel, and Mireya De La Garza and her husband Carlos. Their connections were deep and full of shared memories, laughter and love, forming a tissue of support that Miguel appreciated throughout his life.

Miguel was a man with a great personality, he liked to dance, sing and play with his daughters bringing laughter and great joy to their home. He was known for his favorite phrases, such as “Alabale Juanita”, “Come on somebody” and “Nobody listens to me.” His loving nature extended to his dogs, Cielo, Gaviota and Vampiro, who were not only pets, but also dear companions in their daily life. Miguel was passionate about photography and enjoyed capturing moments that reflected the beauty that surrounded him, whether it was a family reunion or a walk with his dogs.

His earthly parents who are not with us now, Mario De La Garza and Herlinda Luna, and his brother, Mario De La Garza. His memories live in the hearts of everyone who knew him, and Miguel’s legacy of love and devotion will last through his family and friends.

A wake will be held in honor of Miguel at Neal Funeral Home 200 S. Washington Ave. Cleveland, TX , on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. Miguel’s funeral will take place the next day, Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home. The burial will take place immediately at the Cleveland Memorial Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas. When remembering Miguel, we are comforted to know that his memory will continue to inspire us, guiding us like a beacon of love and faith. We will deeply miss his laugh, kindness and support, his craziness but above all his devotion to JESUS CHRIST. We will never forget him.
