Raymond Harvey Brandon was born in Houston, Texas, on Aug. 14, 1945, to parents, Weldon Brandon and Katie Blair Brandon. He passed away Jan. 11, 2025, in Porter, Texas, at the age of 79 years.
Raymond proudly served four years in the United States Army. Raymond was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He also loved NASCAR. He really enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Raymond also loved to cook and he was well known for his brisket… but he loved to eat even more. Raymond’s greatest love in life was his wife, Sissy. He also dearly loved his family and he was an excellent husband, father and grandfather.
Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Katie and J.C. Bruce; father and stepmother, Weldon and Jean Brandon; brothers, Roland Brandon, Michael Brandon, and Reggie Brandon. And by his partner in crime, his Yorkie, Jack.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Sissy Brandon; beloved children, Raymond Brandon and wife Debra, Sheryl Zigler and husband Steve, Christopher Reeves and wife Chloe, and Mollie Armstrong and husband Mark; brother, James Brandon; grandchildren, Meagan Brandon, Zach Warwick and wife Cheyann, Shelby Nichols and husband Justin, Justin Stanfoed, Amanda Johnson and husband Jeremy, and his pride and joy, Freya Grace Armstrong; great-grandchildren, LouKasey Warwick, BraeLynn Warwick, Ashtyn Warwick, Kinsley Nichols, ShaeLeigh Nichols, Juddson Nichols, Emma Stanford, Thomas Johnson, Kolton Johnson, and Braxton Brandon.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland at 2 p.m.
