Cathryn Garza, colonel of the Dazzler Dance Team at Dayton High School, has achieved an extraordinary milestone in her dance career.
Garza was recently selected as a member of the prestigious All-State Dance Team during her attendance at the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) Convention. This honor places her among the top dancers from over 200 schools across the state of Texas.
Accompanied by Dayton High School Dance Teacher Brittany Hinkle, Garza participated in the convention, which provided her with opportunities to enhance her skills through master classes led by renowned choreographer Terrill Mitchell. The convention is a premier event for dance education and performance, attracting some of the most talented students and educators in Texas.
“We are extremely proud of Cathryn,” said Hinkle. “She represented our Dazzler Team and Dayton ISD very well. It was an amazing experience for her.”
Garza’s selection to the All-State Dance Team highlights her dedication, talent, and hard work as a leader and dancer. The entire Dayton community celebrates her success in achieving this prestigious recognition.
