The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Lee College is inviting the community to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a special Open House event on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025. The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the SBDC office located at 909 Decker Drive in Baytown.
This milestone event commemorates four decades of the SBDC’s dedication to empowering small businesses in the Gulf Coast region by providing essential resources, guidance, and support. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the SBDC team, connect with local business leaders and community members, and learn more about the center’s services.
Amanda Smoke, Public Relations Manager for Lee College, said, “The SBDC has been a cornerstone of entrepreneurial growth in our community for 40 years. This event is not only a celebration of the center’s achievements but also an opportunity to look ahead at future opportunities for growth and collaboration.”
The Open House will include interviews with SBDC staff, local business owners, and event attendees, as well as opportunities to capture photos and videos of the celebration. The event will also highlight the SBDC’s contributions to the community over the past four decades and showcase stories of success from businesses that have benefited from its support.
The SBDC has played a pivotal role in fostering entrepreneurship, supporting small businesses, and strengthening local economies. By offering services such as business planning, financial guidance, and marketing strategies, the center has helped countless entrepreneurs achieve their goals.
Community members and small business owners are encouraged to attend this free event to celebrate the SBDC’s legacy and explore how the center can continue to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.
