Threasa Ann Middleton Horton, 78, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, left us peacefully on Jan. 16 and entered into the presence of God. She was surrounded by her daughters while having the last conversations of love with her grandchildren and brother, Claude. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Threasa, or “Maw Maw,” will always be remembered for her loving kindness and her everlasting loyalty to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family moved to Pampa, Texas when Threasa was young. Threasa graduated from Pampa High School in 1964. Upon graduation she began a successful career in banking that would last her lifetime.

Threasa found enjoyment in a profession of banking and touts time spent as an investigator for the prestigious FDIC. She had several banking roles across her career and retired from SBLS as a Vice President of small business loans. Working as an investigator and loan officer truly matched her personality as she was incredibly head strong and had an amazing attention to detail. Even after her official retirement she continued to find purpose assisting with loan processing.

In Threasa’s later years she enjoyed keeping up with her grandchildren and staying close to all her family members. She was also a vital instrument in helping her father care for her mother with Alzheimer’s. Drawing near to God at this stage in her life was a testament to her love for Him.
