Karen Cowart Glatter Guidry

Karen Cowart Glatter Guidry, 83, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at her home with family by her side. The family is celebrating her life that she lived to the fullest.

Karen was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Marlin, Texas, to parents, George and Jessie Cowart. In her younger years, Karen lived in the Marlin and Waco area then the Houston/Sheldon area before settling in Dayton where she resided for the past 51 years. She was a retired office manager from Trinity Valley Tractor, attended St. Anne Catholic Church, and was a member of the Holiday Ramblers RV Group and Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Upon retirement, they traveled across the country in their motor home and saw all fifty states. Karen also enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, fishing, hunting, and travelling.

Mrs. Guidry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald B. Glatter, son: Kennth Norman Vincent, and brothers: Sonny McDonald, Ray McDonald, and George Cowart. She is survived by her husband of 25 years: Paul Guidry, daughter: Tammy Vincent, son: Scott Glatter and wife Susan, sisters-in-law: Gayle Cowart and Jerrie McDonald, grandchildren: Jessica Kaitlyn Glatter Sorrells and husband Andrew, Ashlee Glatter, Aden Vincent, and Levi Vincent and wife Bobbie, great-grandchildren: Levi, Gabriel, Michael, Zaelee, and Hope, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
