James Earl Mangum, Sr., 97, of Daisetta, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025. Jimmy was born in Liberty, Texas, to the late George W. and Eliza J. Fondon Mangum on July 14, 1927.

Known for his quiet and stubborn nature, he was honorable, giving, God-fearing, and a man of few words who preferred things to be done his way.

Broussard and wife Tara, and Dawn Casey and husband Matt; his great-grandchildren, Garret and Lainey Broussard, Kyla Cote, Riley and expecting Jolie Casey; his step-grandchildren, Robert Patton and wife Diane, Diana Roth and husband Jacob, Elizabeth Tanner and husband Jerry, and Richard Patton and wife Heather; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
