Peggy Lynne Gilmore Burk was born in Conroe, Texas, on Jan. 14, 1952, to parents, Carrell Gilmore and Erma Webb Gilmore. She went to her Heavenly Home on Feb. 12, 2025, in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 73. Peggy worked in the cafeteria for Splendora ISD for over 10 years. She loved all the students and enjoyed her work. She loved all types of music and played the piano.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Carrell Gilmore; husband, Alton “Buster” Burk; son, Bryan Burk; sister, Carolyn Dianne Vaughn; brother, Ricky Gilmore.
She is survived by her beloved children, Deborah Lynne Burk, Jason Paul Edward Burk (with wife Amber), Della Marie Burk (with husband Bradley) , and Samantha Dianne Johnson Denson (with husband Christopher); mother, Erma Gilmore Rutherford; sister, Barbara Whitton (with husband Robert); grandchildren, Joshua Mangrum, Justin Mangrum, Brittany Johnson, Keira Johnson, Jared Johnson, Trooper Johnson, Darren Kee, Liam Kee, Gracelynne Kee, Ally Stofer, Cooper Stofer, Beckett Burk, and baby Denson coming in September 2025; great-grandchildren, Leia Johnson, Brayden Mangrum, Brentley Mangrum, Keighen Ewy, Yeshua Mangrum, Lenora Mangrum, and Atticus Tucker; nephews, Timothy Oualline, Benjamin Gilmore, Joseph Amburn, and Jacob Amburn; nieces, Shona Turner, Ashley Gilmore, and Amanda Gilmore.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.
