Nikki Lee Matlock, 53, passed away surrounded by her loving husband, children, and grandchildren on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at her home in Dayton, Texas, after battling cancer for almost three years.
She was born Sept. 3, 1971, in Brush, Colorado. She moved to Dayton in 1998, where she met her husband, James Matlock (Jay), and lived the rest of her life.
Nikki is known for being a devoted grandmother, mother, and wife as well as her charismatic personality and kind heart. She loved singing, music, and spending time with her family.
Nikki is survived by her husband, James Matlock (Jay) of Dayton; her father, Richard Phillips and wife Edna Phillips of Dayton; her daughter: Cierra Matlock of Dayton and son: Zachary Matlock of Dayton; her sisters Patti Torrez and husband Matthew of Iowa and Kandi Guzman and husband Bobby of Colorado; grandchildren, Aubree and Asher; also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
