
Dora Bessard of Beaumont, TX – a beloved mother, sister, and friend – gained her wings on March 6, 2025, at the age of 82.
Services are Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Fellowship Baptist Church 1175 Isla St. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 12PM until Funeral at 2 PM. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery Beaumont, TX.
Born on July 1, 1942, in Franklin, Louisiana, she was one of seven children blessed to John and Elnora Arceneaux, A graduate of Willow Street High School c/o 1961, she built a career as a purchaser for the Best Years Center and Beaumont City Hall before retiring and later working at Wonder Bread Hostess Cakes
Dora was a devoted wife to the late Charles Bessard Jr. and a loving mother to Yolanda and Shazae Bessard. She was known for her strong family values, unwavering faith, and a hidden but delightful sense of humor. A member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, before becoming ill she actively participated in Bible Study and attended regularly.
She is reunited in heaven with her husband and siblings.
She leaves behind cherished memories with her children, in-laws, nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives, and dear friends.
