MCSO: Man fatally shot by neighbor in New Caney RV park

A long-standing dispute between neighbors allegedly ended in deadly violence Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2025, when one man was fatally shot at an RV park in New Caney.

At approximately 2 p.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at the 1485 East RV Park, near the 24000 block of FM 1485. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by deputies and EMS personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 67-year-old Billy Fisher.

Authorities say that witnesses allege that the shooting was the culmination of an ongoing dispute between Fisher and his neighbor, who is alleged to have drawn a firearm and shot Fisher multiple times during the latest altercation.

Deputies detained the suspect at the scene without further incident. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Investigators, and personnel from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office are actively investigating.

“This is an isolated incident involving only the victim and the suspect,” according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released, pending formal custody procedures.
