Tasheaba Lou Hawkins Fontenot, a beloved daughter, mother, sister and grandmother, left this earth on May 4, 2025, at the age of 48.
Services are Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 3420 St. James St., Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Anthony Cemetery, Beaumont, Texas.
Tasheaba was born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 28, 1976, to Jessie Hawkins Jr. and Ommil Holmes. She grew up in the Pear Orchard (SMU), attended BISD elementary schools and graduated from Westbrook Sr. High School, Class of 1994. After high school, she enrolled at Beaumont Career Center for Cosmetology while working at Waffle House.
Tasheaba was baptized by the late Rev. C.J. Franklin Sr. and was a faithful member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
