Zelma Dobbs

Today we gather to remember mother (Beth) Zelma Dobbs, a woman who was just not our mother but our guiding light, our safe harbor and our biggest cheerleader. Mom was born on a sunny day, Dec. 26, 1933. Mother was 91 years old.

She brought that warmth and brightness with her throughout her life; she had a way of making everyone feel special, loved, and important. Her smile could light up a room, her laughter was contagious, her arms were always open for a hug, her ear always to listen, and her heart was always filled with love compassion and understanding. She loved us children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with no hesitation at all.  Mother loved fishing, loved the outdoors; some of her fun began with playing poker with the family, this is one thing she truly loved as well. Lots of the family called her Aunt B, especially her nephew Richard Allen (Rusty), he loved his Aunt B as we all did, but he and Momma had a special bond; he always made sure she had her some catfish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dobbs, Brenda Dobbs Albright Kimberly Hathcoat, and Harold Lloyd Dobbs.

Mother young and beautiful as ever, she leaves to cherish her memory 4 children: Brenda Dobbs Albright who has passed, Kathy Parker, Jimmy Dobbs, Tonya Dobbs Jenkins; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jenkins, Ashton Jenkins, Rebecca Woosley, Tamara Williams, Christopher Benavidez, Johnathan Butler, Adina Gustafson, Kimberly Hathcoat (deceased), Jennifer Dobbs Martinez, Patrick Dobbs, many great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

May the glory of our Lord shine upon her and may she rest in peace.
