Alfred Haywood “G-Money,” 72, of Bon Wier, Texas, passed June 4, 2025.

Services are Saturday, June 14, 2025, at New Life Changers Christian Center, 901 Hwy. 87 North, Newton, Texas 75966. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Brookeland, Texas.

Alfred Haywood was born on Oct. 10, 1952, to Jim Haywood Sr. and Gloria Garrett in Brookeland, Texas.

He accepted Christ at an early age. After high school, he worked for several different companies. He was truly a jack of all trades. He married Darie Haywood in 1974, and from this union two sons were born. Twenty-seven years later, he and his teenage sweetheart married and combined their families. He joined Fredonia Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Alfred Busby. He loved helping people in the community in any aspect.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ethel Lee Johnson and Elmira Anderson; three brothers, Jim Haywood Jr., Charles Haywood and Floyd Anderson; and his son, Timothy Ray III, who affectionately called him G-Money.

Alfred leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 26 years, Emma; five sons, Alfred Kerr, John Haywood (Rhonda), Elton Ray (Barnestine), Brandon Ray (Erica) and Willie Ray; one daughter, La’Keisha Ray Hughey (Claude); seven grandchildren, LaDarius, Jayla, Sadarious, Jamaar, Javon, Juliana and Emilee; four sisters, Sandrus Vincent, Brunetta Roberts, Faye Thomas and Penella Brooks (Terry); three brothers, Floyd Haywood (Rosemary), Carrington Haywood (Glenda) and Robert Haywood; three special friends, Bishop Sammy Nash, Nelson Farr and Donald G. Samuel; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
