Freddie Fritze Mansky Jr.

Freddie Fritze Mansky Jr., a devoted family man and dedicated servant of the Lord, passed away on June 15, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on July 2, 1944, in Galveston, Texas, Freddie lived a life marked by hard work, love, and a passion for his family and faith.

Freddie was a retired millwright, whose skills and commitment were evident throughout his career. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that he carried with honor. After returning from military service, Freddie embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and became the owner/operator of Fredrick’s Barbeque, showcasing his love for cooking and community.

A high school graduate, Freddie was more than just an accomplished tradesman; he was a man of interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He shared many memorable moments with his cousin Ivan, including proudly rebuilding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. His passion extended to vintage cars and motorcycles, reflecting his spirited personality. Among his cherished possessions was his truck, which he took great pride in.

Freddie and his wife, Emma Jean Mansky, who predeceased him, shared a life filled with love and companionship, including a special time residing in the Virgin Islands. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and faith. He was also preceded in death by his beloved children Tracy Mansky, Rhonda Copley and Richard Fain. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sheila Smith and her husband Scott, along with his adoring grandchildren: Chad Jones, Denmon Jones and wife Destiny, Kim Linton and husband Bryan, Emily Copley, Whitney Smith, Shelby Smith, Austin Smith and 9 Great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his cousin, Ivan, along with other loving relatives and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.

Freddie’s legacy will be remembered by all who knew him; his faith, family, and fervor for life were an inspiration. As we reflect on the moments shared with him, we hold close the memories of a faithful servant, a loving husband, a doting father, and a friend to many.
