Pleaman Jamal Willis “PJ” 33, of Beaumont, Texas, passed June 6, 2025.

Services are Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Proctor’s Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Haven of Rest Cemetery Beaumont, Texas.

Pleaman Jamal Willis, affectionately known as Jamal “PJ”, entered into this world on April 23, 1992, to James Willis Jr and the late Aneda Willis.

Growing up Jamal’s parents enrolled him in several sports. He excelled in karate receiving two yellow belts and dominated on the basketball courts. In his youth he attended Boulden Memorial COGIC under the leadership of Rev. R E Collier. Jamal was educated in Beaumont Independent School District and last attended Westbrook High School, where he met his high school sweetheart Hannah Aubry. Together they were blessed with two handsome young men JaQuez and Jaquan Willis. He later received his GED and a certification in woodworking.  Jamal loved his family, and his two sons were his heart. Jamal was known for his loving smile, huge heart and his charm. In 2022 he moved to Houston, Texas. He resided there until he was called home on June 6, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Aneda Jo Willis; Paternal Grandparents: Lena and James Willis Sr and Castine Willis and Maternal Grandparents: Amanda and Bobby Harris Sr. 

Cherishing his memories are his father, James Willis Sr; Sisters, Charlene Willis and Jada Harris; Brother, William Willis; Sons, JaQuez and Jaquan Willis (Hannah Aubry); Godparents, Willie and Kathy Harris; 5 nieces; 1 nephew; 1 great nephew;1 great niece and a host of other family and friends.
