Fred Taylor Long Jr.

Fred Taylor Long Jr., 60, of Beaumont, Texas, transitioned from his earthly life on Friday, June 20, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Service will be held July 5, 2025, at Christ Gospel, 3227 Highland Ave., Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Beaumont, Texas.

Fred Jr. was born in Beaumont, Texas, on Nov. 22, 1964.

Fred married Valerie Bates Long. Fred and Valerie had a blessed, loving and devoted 41 years of marriage. To this union they were blessed with three children. Fred was a devoted member and musician at Crist Gospel. He was a welder by trade where he worked for various contractors.

Fred was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Maxine Long, and James Smith and Elberta Walker, and brother Anthony Long.

Fred leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife: Valerie Long, one daughter Ashlyn Williams, (Cordell), of Port Arthur, two sons: Allen Long (Rebecca), of Beaumont, and Fred Long III (Kaori), of Hampton, Virginia. His parents: Fred Long Sr., and Joetta Long, of Beaumont, one sister Maranda Thomas (Cory) of Beaumont.   Four brothers: Joseph Long Sr., (Catina), Aaron Long Sr., Melvin Long, and Joel Long (Celia) all of Beaumont. Thirteen Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special cousin Barbara Johnson, Special friend of the family, Shontel Loville, God children and other relatives and friends.
