Elizabeth Elaine Evans

Elizabeth Elaine Evans, born on May 7, 1946, in Mobile, Ala., went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 1, 2025, in Cleveland, Texas. A devoted homemaker and beloved member of her family, Elizabeth’s life was marked by her unwavering love and dedication to those around her.

Married to her husband, William Seth Evans, for 64 years, Elaine exemplified the very essence of partnership. Together, they filled their years with joy and deep mutual respect, creating a warm and loving home. Elaine was not only a wonderful wife but also an amazing mother to her three children: Doris Elaine Ware and her husband David, Peggy Joyce Janflone and her husband Richard, and Timothy Seth Evans. She took immense pride in her family, always doing her best to keep everyone connected and supported.

Elaine’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Felicia Moore and her husband Ash, Dwayne Ware, Bryan Janflone and his wife Anna, Kevin Janflone and his wife Phoebe, Jordan Janflone, and Krysta Postell and her husband Will. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Elizabeth Moore, Ava Janflone, Rachel Moore, and Ronin Janflone, each of whom brought her joy and laughter.

An active member of the North Cleveland Baptist Church, Elaine devoted much of her life to being a faithful servant to the Lord. This strong woman, known for her resilience and nurturing spirit, found enjoyment in various hobbies including scrapbooking, gardening, DIY projects, woodworking, and crafts, reflecting her creative personality.

Elaine held the color blue close to her heart, and her love for music spanned from old rock and roll to country, with a special fondness for gospel hymns that resonated deeply with her faith. One of her favorite quotes, “For God so loved the world…” from John 3:16, encapsulated her beliefs and values.

Her family remembers her not only for her strength and nurturing presence but also for being the glue that held them all together. Her siblings, Earl Webb and his wife Geraldine, Vivian Holloway and her husband Winford, and Ed Webb Jr. and his wife Darlene mourn her passing alongside many loving relatives and friends, including Pastor Ken and Teresa Worley, Mashelle Reed, and her Church Family.

Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Edgar William Webb and Florence Chambliss, as well as her brother Fred Webb and sisters June Graham, Caroll Holloway, and Voncile Cooke.

A visitation will be held on July 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by the funeral service on July 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Neal Funeral Home located at 200 South Washington Avenue in Cleveland, Texas. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Morgan Cemetery, beginning at 12:00 PM on the same day.

Elaine leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
