Liberty County residents find moments of joy in week marked by tragic losses

Amid a week marked by somber news from the Texas Hill Country, the Fourth of July brought moments of celebration and community spirit in Liberty County.

While Liberty and Cleveland held their festivities on the same night, July 3, Bluebonnet News was only able to attend events in Cleveland — where the holiday also doubled as a 90th birthday celebration for the city — and in nearby Dayton, held on July 4. Here’s a look back at the fun and patriotic pride that shone in both towns.
