Carol Ann Wright

Carol Ann Wright was born Nov. 13, 1948, in Houston, Texas, to parents, Robert E. Jackson Sr and Annie Stazy Sebesta Jackson. She entered Heaven’s Gates on July 8, 2025, in New Caney, Texas, at the age of 76 years.

Carol was a member of the Dolen Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Carol loved life and always had a smile on her face. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Carol loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by them and her church family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Annie Stazy Jackson. Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Haskell Wright; beloved children, Rhonda Caswell and husband Chad, Johnny Jack Vela and wife Elicia, Harry Vela, Joe Vela, Noeh Vela; stepson, Darren Wright and wife Angie; stepdaughters, Michelle Jones and husband Ben, Shauna Brown and husband Troy; grandchildren, Cristin and Jesse McFarland, Chandler and Hayden Wyatt, Kassi Vela, Garrett Wintermeyer, Courtney and Jared Bobo, Gavin Vela, Zach Vela, Coedy Vela, Nathan and Donna Wright, Travis and Emily Wright, Nolan Wright, Brittany and Kyle Yoder, Christopher and Rosa Braaten, Nicholas and Lauren Braaten, Connor Brown; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert E. Jackson Jr; sisters, Lois DeLaPaz and husband Alfred “Duke”, Dena Burrows; stepmother, Barbara Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews, Dolen Baptist Church family, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dolen Baptist Church on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Bro. Mike Nix officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Johnny Jack Vela, Harry Vela, Joe Vela, Noeh Vela, Chad Caswell, and Alfred DeLaPaz.
