After a highly successful inaugural year, Liberty County District Attorney Jennifer L. Bergman and the Liberty County District Attorney’s Office are pleased to announce the return of the Liberty County Citizen Prosecutor Academy.
This nine-week program offers residents a behind-the-scenes look at the criminal justice process and the work done daily by prosecutors and staff to keep Liberty County safe. Participants will learn about a range of topics including the anatomy of a jury trial, crimes against children, murder cases, public integrity, and more.
“Many of our citizens have asked what goes on behind the scenes at the DA’s Office — this is your chance to find out,” Bergman said.
The academy begins Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, and will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dayton Police Department.
Eligibility and Requirements:
